All Products1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases and interactions with The Chic Artist Studio, operated by Neetika (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order or registering for a class, you (“customer”, “you”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full.

We sell two categories of products:

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version posted on this page at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.

Physical2. Physical Products — Bookmarks & Paintings

2.1 Product Description

All bookmarks and paintings are original, hand-painted watercolor artworks. Because each piece is painted by hand, minor natural variations in color, brushwork, and texture are inherent to the medium and are not considered defects. Product photographs are taken in natural light and represent the item as accurately as possible; slight color differences between your screen and the physical piece are normal.

Bookmarks are 2 × 6 inches and ship with a high-quality protective sleeve. Paintings are 5 × 7 inches and are unframed unless otherwise stated. Paintings may be requested as greeting cards at no additional cost (blank interior, white envelope included) — simply note this at checkout or contact us.

2.2 Order Processing

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 5–10 business days of payment confirmation. During busy periods (holidays, special events) processing may take longer — we will communicate any delays by email.

2.3 Shipping & Delivery

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs, or events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you upon handover to the carrier.

2.4 Customs & Import Duties

For USA orders, any applicable import duties, taxes, or customs fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in our pricing or shipping charges.

Digital3. Digital Products — Online Classes

3.1 What You Receive

Online classes are live, instructor-led watercolor workshops delivered over Zoom. After successful payment you will receive a Zoom link and joining instructions at the email address provided at checkout. Please ensure your email address is correct before completing your purchase.

3.2 Access & Participation

3.3 Materials

A full materials list is published on each class product page. Sourcing materials is the customer's responsibility. The Chic Artist does not supply physical materials and is not responsible if you are unable to fully participate due to missing materials.

3.4 Code of Conduct

All participants must behave respectfully toward the instructor and fellow participants. The Chic Artist reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour, without refund.

3.5 Cancellation by Us

In the rare event that we must cancel a scheduled class (e.g. instructor illness, technical failure beyond our control), all registered participants will be notified promptly by email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future class of equal value.

3.6 Refund Policy for Classes

All class purchases are non-refundable. We encourage you to review the class details, date, time, and materials list carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions, please contact us before buying.

Digital4. Digital Products — E-Books

4.1 What You Receive

E-books are digital files in PDF format, available worldwide. E-book purchases are processed through Polar.sh, our third-party payment and delivery platform, which acts as the merchant of record for all e-book transactions. After successful payment, Polar.sh will send a download link to the email address provided at checkout. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the download email within 24 hours of purchase. Contact us if you experience any delivery issues.

4.2 Pricing & Currency

E-book prices are listed and charged in USD (US Dollars). For international transactions, tax is calculated and collected by Polar.sh as the merchant of record; the applicable tax amount will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

4.3 Licence & Permitted Use

Upon purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, store, and use the e-book for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

4.4 Refund Policy for E-Books

All e-book purchases are final and non-refundable. Because e-books are delivered instantly as digital files and cannot be returned, refunds are not available once the file has been delivered. Please review the product description thoroughly before purchasing. If you experience a verified technical issue preventing access to your file, contact us and we will assist you promptly.

4.5 File Format & Compatibility

E-books are delivered in PDF format, compatible with all major operating systems and PDF readers (Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, Google Chrome, etc.). We cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party e-reader device or application.

All Products5. Payment & Pricing

Physical products and digital prodcuts with USA and Canada (except SK) are processed through Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor. Prices for digital products are listed in USD (US Dollars), while prices for physical products are in your local currency. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your province or country.

Digital products for all other locations are processed through Polar.sh, which acts as the merchant of record and handles all tax collection and remittance globally. Prices are listed in USD.

All transactions are encrypted and secure. We do not store your payment card details at any time.

All Products6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Physical Products

Returns and exchanges are not accepted on any physical products. All items are custom-made, hand-painted originals and cannot be restocked or resold.

If your order arrives visibly damaged due to shipping, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence of the damage to both the item and its packaging. We will review each case individually and, at our discretion, offer a replacement or store credit.

If your order does not arrive within the estimated delivery window, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier.

Digital Products (Classes & E-Books)

All digital product sales are final and non-refundable, consistent with consumer protection regulations for digital goods that have been accessed or delivered. The sole exception is a class cancelled by us (see Section 3.5).

All Products7. Intellectual Property

All artwork, images, videos, written content, class materials, and e-book content on this website are the exclusive intellectual property of The Chic Artist Studio, protected by copyright. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual property rights. You may share photographs of your own artwork created during our classes on social media, with credit to @the.chic.artist.

All Products8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Chic Artist Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or services. Our total liability for any single order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.

All Products9. Privacy

We collect only the personal information required to process your order or class registration (name, email, shipping address). This data is used solely to fulfil your purchase and communicate with you about it. We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with payment processors (Stripe for physical products and online classes; Polar.sh for e-books) and shipping carriers (Canada Post) as required to complete your order.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us.

All Products10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
